Signal Spectra Characteristics of Plasma Asymmetric Dipole Antenna with Different Operation Modes

In recent plasma antenna is an emerging technology which uses ionized gas instead of metal as a conducting medium. In this paper, proposing a multiple approaches for studying the various operation modes of plasma asymmetrical dipole antenna (PAD). It contains a plasma-filled metal screen and dielectric discharge tube. A change in a plasma concentration or plasma column's length can be used to control PAD parameters. Numerical simulations are used to analyze the plasma dipole antenna operation modes of finite length and radius. The plasma antenna is electrically distributed in the near field as well as the radiation pattern. Surface wave dispersion curves are provided with analytical solutions. In this paper, characteristics of plasma antenna are compared with characteristics of the similar metal antenna.
