Abstract

Survivorship experimentations play a vital part in ageing investigation and to gauge whether intrusions amend the percentage of ageing and upsurge life expectancy. On the other hand, breast cancer is the utmost ordinary cancer amongst womenfolk globally and it is known as the second leading source of death. In order to decrease the amount of deaths caused by breast cancer disease, it is necessary to recognise the risk factors that are significant for their survival. The accelerated failure time (AFT) models occasionally are used to analyse the survivorship data, but provides a possibly beneficial statistical method which is based on the survival curve preferably than the hazard function. In this paper, a retrospective study of data with 686 German breast cancer patients is performed by using the AFT model using the Weibull distributions. The final model is evaluated by referring to the significance level of p value for each risk factor. Moreover, the findings support that the covariates; consumption of hormone, size of the tumour, the grade of the tumour, number of nodes and number of progesterone receptors are significant factors towards the survival time, whereas the covariates age of the patient, menopause status and number of oestrogen receptors are not weighty covariates.
