Nguyen Tan Danh
Abstract

Being a country located on the East Coast on the arterial road from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, the marine economy has brought great achievements to Vietnam's development. However, along with the momentum of economic development and the trend of international and regional economic integration, the problem of marine environmental pollution is being posed very seriously. Viet Nam is facing sea pollution and is becoming increasingly serious as a result of population pressures, economic growth, ineffective management and use of marine resources and notably, the status of waste water discharge into the sea. Therefore, it is essential to understand this status in order to rationally exploit resources and protect the marine environment in a sustainable manner. The paper will introduce the landscape of the sea and the level of development of industries in Vietnam. Then, the status and impact of marine pollution due to the discharge of companies as well as few suggestions are also mentioned in order to keep our living planet a better place.
