Design of E-shaped and Circular Array Antenna to Improve the Performance for WLAN and WiMax Network

Abstract

The configuration of microstrip antenna array improves the support of hybrid technology networks working at different frequencies. The directivity, gain and bandwidth improvement is also achieved by such structured patch antenna. In this paper, an E-shaped and circularly configured array antenna is designed to improve the resonance frequency and gain for WiMax and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) networks. The linear and optimized placement of antenna is done in circular shape to obtain higher directivity and the smaller segments based integration reduced the error rate. The paper has provided the functional derivation of antenna array design and its evaluation under gain, error rate vectors. The evaluations are also conducted and provided graphically on different array antenna configurations.
