Diagnosis And Surgical Treatment Of Rectovaginal Fistulas In Anorectic Malformations

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze methods of diagnostics, surgical correction and results of treatment of children with rectovaginal fistula according to the clinic materials. Research materials and methods. Under our supervision in the clinical bases of the Department of Hospital Children's Surgery with the course of TashPMI oncology during 2009-2019 were examined and treated 258 girls at the age from 1 day to 15 years with ARM, of which 34 (13,2%) have been diagnosed with rectovaginal fistula: 22 (64,7%) with atresia of the anus and rectum, 12 (35,3%) out of 29 girls with H-form of rectogenital joint at the normally formed anus. All patients underwent comprehensive clinical studies to assess the anatomical functional state of the perineum and sphincter apparatus of the rectum, as well as radiation-based diagnostic methods: ultrasound of internal organs to detect related diseases; contrast X-ray examination of the rectum; spinal column CT.Results. When choosing the tactics and method of operation it is recommended to take into account the localization and height of the fistula and the nature of the combined malformations, the severity of concomitant diseases and complications of the anomaly itself.
