Ecological tourism, while providing the least negative impact on the natural ecosystem, involves the local population in the provision of ecological tourism services, improves the standard of living and replenishes the revenue part of the regional budget. However, to date, the issue of systematic support for ecological tourism has not been solved yet, and regional and local governing bodies have no direct interest in developing this type of tourism, the criteria for the rational use of eco-tourism resources was not developed, the organizational aspects of cooperation between tour operators and local authorities in this area and the problem of assessment of the social and economic impact of ecological tourism in specific tourist destination are not sufficiently developed.
