Alcohol Detector and Engine Locking System

Driving under influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI) becomes risk factors for road traffic accident. Drunk and driving become serious problem nowadays and at the most of the cases the drunk driver drive in dangerous condition that will lead to accident fatality on the road. The accident happened due to high alcohol level consumption from the driver that have a serious effect on their behaviour likes unconsciousness, emotional swings and anger or sadness. This project is developed to prevent drunk people from driving, the car will gradually slow and stop. This project is developed by integrated the alcohol sensor and motor driver with the microcontroller. The objectives of the project are to develop a working prototype of alcohol detector and engine locking system, to create a coding for detecting the presence of alcohol in breath and automatic engine locking system for car and lastly to monitor the presence of alcohol in breath and control the speed of tyre. As a conclusion, this project will able to solve the drunk and driving problem by prevent the drunk driver from operate the vehicle and also reduce the number of accident fatality.
