Abstract

Research to evaluate the extent of the implementation of SBM, the purpose of research to improve the implementation of SBM in schools for improvement can then be carried out properly. Qualitative research methods are often called naturalistic research methods (naturalistic research), because research is carried out in natural conditions. It is also called ethnographic research so that the source of information comes from the principal, teacher, school committee and student guardian. Data collection was obtained by means of: direct observation, interviews and documentation after obtaining information and then carried out a survey of primary data from the literature which then found the findings of this study in the form of narrative researchers. The evaluation results obtained by SBM implementation in schools still have some shortcomings that must be corrected to improve the quality of school education. The implementation of SBM is still not in accordance with the four characteristics of SBM. The implementation of SBM is still not in accordance with the operational standards of procedures issued by the school. The results of the research with the CIPP model indicate that there are still some shortcomings that must be corrected to improve the quality of school education. The recommendations given are: (1) Increasing autonomy authority to the principal. (2) The principal increases transparency to the community (school committee). (3) The principal increases community participation. (4) The principal and teacher increase the responsibility (accountability) of the school community and the community in the surrounding environment.
