Dyslexia is treated as a precise learning syndrome due to the impairment in reading skills which consequences to phonological difficulties among school children. Detecting such reading, learning disabilities at their earlier stages, may increase the academic skills of the students. Now the researchers in the arena of artificial intelligence and machine learning started focusing on predicting the presence of dyslexia in their earlier stages. This paper is intended to survey the about some of the existing work in the detection of dyslexia using various procedures, material, and approaches. They used different forms of the machine learning approaches, image processing-based dyslexia detection and deep learning models to detect dyslexia. This paper also suggests novel direction of developing such detection models.
