Mobile Healthcare Social Networks (MHSNs) are becoming more and more important to provide a successful and effective electronic healthcare platform. Movable people with the same illness or in the region of the same health care provider constitute a network for the sharing of knowledge on the patient's health information. In MHSNs, it is more challenging to provide data sharing services without violating these security requirements. Secure Identity-based data sharing and profile matching scheme (SIDS-PM) was proposed for secure data sharing in MHSNs. SIDS-PM also found similar patients based on Identity Based Encryption with Equality Test (IBBET) without leaking any sensitivity information of patients. In this paper, Elliptic Curve Cryptography for SIDS and Enhanced Profile Matching (ECCSIDS-EPM) is proposed to improve the trustworthiness and security of healthcare data in MHSNs. In ECCSIDS-EPM, IBBE using ECC is introduced to encrypt the data which enhance the trustworthiness of data in MHSN. Moreover, the secret keys of the patients are stored in different servers. It helps to restore the secret keys even when there is an attack occurred in Cloud Service Provider (CSP). The trapdoors are generated by CSP for patients and it is used along with their corresponding secret keys for profile matching. In profile matching, the patients can find friends and interacts about their illness symptoms and mediations. Thus, by using IBBE with ECC and storing secret keys in different servers the security and privacy of sensitive data in MHSN is preserved.
