The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the main line of economic development and the most important condition for creating the facilities and resources for the society is ensuring the comprehensive intensification of production and increasing its effectiveness. The purpose of the paper is to identify the possibility of establishing (substantiating) quantitative estimated figures of economic performance on the basis of theoretical research. The leading approach is a universal approach that defines the comprehensive performance indicator of national economic efficiency based on an aggregated assessment of a set of criteria. The undoubted advantage of this approach is the comparability of assessment results and performance. The main results of this work are: ï‚· The economic content of national economic efficiency and its place in the system of performance indicators in socialist economy is shown. ï‚· The methods of evaluating national economic efficiency are studied. ï‚· The main methodological feature of the study is determined. It is the desire to distinguish extensive and intensive aspects of the influence of one or another factor on the dynamics of national economic efficiency. ï‚· The study of national economic efficiency in socialist economy is conducted from the point of view of its influence on the development of planned economy. ï‚· The paper assesses the dynamics of the national economic efficiency of a socialist economy. ï‚· Materials of this study can be useful for interested organizations in determining cost-efficiency and can be used in practice.
