Security of buildings or residential areas is the common concerns of modern generation. This research is based on the concept of designing a home security automation system which can be used for day to day activities as well as for checking the potential security concerns. The research proposes an IOT based platform for building monitoring and control using different sensors. The system is integrated with sensors in a microcontroller board which is used to detect the hazards and security threats. The system has a cloud-based decision support system which uses the sensor inputs. The system in overall ensures the security and responds to various hazards that can occur in a building.
