Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) with low-duty-cycle has emerged to be an essential network recently. The rationale behind this is that such WSN can be deployed on moving objects, and many real-world use cases need this kind of network. The mobility of the object on which sensors are deployed needs to have a different approach to communication. Thus the sensors are capable of capturing environmental information dynamically. This scenario has diversified applications associated with it. The nodes have features like mobility and sleeping with dynamic topologies. In such networks, there is difficulty in discovering neighbor nodes faster. There is no establishment of optimal distribution decisions of nodes maintained by the network. The problem with existing systems is that there is a long-time waiting delay due to passive neighbor discovery approaches. In order to solve this problem in this paper, we proposed a novel scheme for improving discovery rate, reducing discovery delay besides making it energy efficient.
