Ever experienced that you felt someone is overtaking with high speed in speed limit roads and you want to catch and punish them well then this system is for you. There is a variety of video surveillance techniques used for safety measures but still to monitor overspeed overtaking car in autonomous roads are challenging. The proposed system with open source software in single board computer (SBC) here raspberry pi is configured with Global Positioning System (GPS) and camera which is placed in a car. This setup aims to monitor and capture the overtaking cars using computer vision that goes beyond the speed limit which violated the speed rules. The speed and image of the car is captured and the speed is compared with speed limit available in the database. If the speed of the car in that particular location exceeds the maximum limit then the image of the car is captured and mailed to local authorities (ex: Cops).
