The theoretical calculation of the optimal distance between parallel-close charges in the explosion of high ledges by means of a computer program is performed in the article. It is established that the use of parallelclose charges causes a significant increase in the distance between individual bundles of wells, in specific geological conditions, the method of blasting parallel-close charges is effective only for certain well diameters. Dependences of the optimal distance between the wells on the effective diameter of the wells, the density and detonation velocity of industrial explosives (ES), the strength of rocks for crushing, the ratios of acoustic stiffnesses of industrial explosives and explosive rocks have been obtained.
