Abstract

In this paper, Positive and Negative Generalized Impedance Converters are proposed using Variable Gain Differential Voltage Current Conveyor for synthesis of Active components. Two external impedances Z1 (floating) and Z2 (grounded) connected to the VG-DVCC (Variable Gain Differential Voltage Current Conveyor) control the variable and frequency dependent or independent gain. The grounded impedance Z3 connected to the Xport of VG-DVCC forms the Generalized Impedance Converters (GICs). The input impedance seen at the input terminal is Zin= ± (Z1*Z3/ Z2). The Circuit performance and theoretical concept are verified using simulation. This paper also highlights synthesis and simulation of various Positive-Negative, Frequency Dependent-Independent Active components. Those are positive and negative Active Inductor, FDNR (Frequency Dependent Negative Resistance), FDPR (Frequency Dependent Positive Resistance), Negative Active Capacitor, Negative Active Resistance.
