The Construction of Post Occupancy Evaluation Instrument for High-Rise Residential by Using Industrial Building System through Ahp Evaluation

The urgency to optimise the quality and performance of Industrialized Building System(IBS) method for high-rise residential has attracted attention from many people due to the awareness to provide satisfaction to residents. It is the result of the majority of residents that are dissatisfied with the house as it is incompatible with the value of property investment. Thus, to them, the IBS method is not efficient and economically for them. Therefore, Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is one of the solutions, and it is considered the most proactive initiative in optimizing the quality and performance of IBS housing while terminating the stigma of IBS method which are not in high quality and low performing product.However, the implementation of POE in IBS-type house has not established, even the government has set the condition to practice the IBS method both in government and private sectors.Hence, this research proposes a Post-Occupancy Evaluation instrument (POE) of IBS type-housing as a better measurement to identify the deficiency and disadvantages of the IBS method through the experience of the resident.The POE instrument developed as a result of the rating index using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. 15 experts with the background of IBS practitioners and construction staff participated in this evaluation process. The determinants of relative weight analysed using web-based software, AHP Priority Calculator.Verification of the consistency ratio formed is significant and acceptable (CR = 0.015). It indicates that this developed instrument can use for Post Occupancy Evaluation.
