Comparative Analysis of Banking Financial Performance: Evidence From Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to examine empirically the comparison of the financial performance of Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk and Bank Tabungan Negara PerseroTbk which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for seven years in the period 2010 to 2017. The financial ratio used is the Capital Adequacy Ratio, Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, Non-Performing Loans and Loan to Deposit Ratio. This research was conducted at Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk and Bank Tabungan Negara PerseroTbk which was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010 until 2017. In this study a sample of two conventional banks in Indonesia was used, namely Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk and Bank TabunganNegara PerseroTbk.The results of this study indicate that the Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk Capital Adequacy Ratio is Bank Tabungan Negara PerseroTbk, Bank Tabungan Negara Persero Tbk Non-Performing Loans better than Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk, Net Profit Margin Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk is better than Bank Tabungan Negara PerseroTbk, Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk Return on Asset is better than Bank Tabungan Negara PerseroTbk, Bank Rakyat Indonesia PerseroTbk Loan to Deposit Ratio is better than the Bank Tabungan NegaraPerseroTbk.
