Abstract

This study aims to produce a training model for increasing the ability of teachers to make learning devices oriented problem-based learning that is valid, practical, and effective. This study uses the research and development of the ADDIE model. The resulting model is named the P2KG-MP2-PBL model, where the syntax of training learning is developed by modifying two learning models, namely: problem-based learning and project-based learning. The research sample consisted of 14 high school vocational school computer and network engineering teachers in Gunungsitoli City, North Sumatra Province. The instruments used to obtain data were questionnaires, observations, and interviews, which then analyzed the data descriptively and inferentially. The results of research and development show that the training model that has been developed is very theoretically valid based on the observations and evaluations of the five educational experts, and is very practical to use based on the assessment of education practitioners, while the effectiveness of the model based on the results of trials to large groups shows that the P2KG-MP2-PBL model can improve the ability of teachers to make learning devices.
