Abstract

This paper presents a battery management system for an isolated DC microgrid which consists of SOC charging /discharging strategy inorder to maintain stability and reliability of an autonomous DC microgrid. The key goal of this coordinated framework is to supply power from microgrid to the dc load under time varying load condition using Master-Slave control scheme. The drawbacks of the proposed work is that microgrid does not meet the demand when both time varying load and time varying source take place at the same moment. This paper not only explain the concept of dc voltage regulation under time varying load condition but also master slave control scheme method to exchange information between the distributed energy sources and energy storage system when communication link does not work. The drawbacks of conventional DC grid is signal exchange does not take place to regulate the voltage.
