Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain information regarding the utilization patterns of tuna fishery in Sendang Biru Malang, include the number of fishermen, number of fishing vessels, the production of tuna, tuna fishing season, tuna species composition, length-weight relationship and length frequency of tuna landed in Sendang Biru Malang. Primary data through interviews with materials ranging from specifications of fishing gears and fishing vessels, Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs), fishing ground and fish prices. Secondary data required is periodic data ( time series ) the catches of tuna and the number of fishing gear from 2010 to 2018, from the annual report of Fisheries and Marine East Java. Tuna, which has been captured and landed at Sendang Biru Malang, were measured in length (Fork Length) and weight. Length measurement used a ruler with a precision of 1 mm, while weight measurement using a digital scale with a precision of 0.01g. The composition of fish species in the Sendang Biru Malang in 2010-2018 showed that skipjack tuna has a large percentage of the production that is 38.69% of the total average production. Weight-length relationship of yellowfin tuna W = 0.00005 L 2.776 with R2 = 0.9972 . For tuna, based on analysis with the total number of 461 fish, it is known W = 0.000049 L 2.76 with R2 = 0.9717. For tuna, based on analysis with the total number of 487 fish. knowable W = 0.00045 L 2896 with R2 = 0.992. In general, a bad season for tuna fishing occurred in 4 (four) months ie January, February, November, and December. Fishing Season is going on in March. April and October.
