Effect Or Air Gap Dimensions In Teethed Stator Pole Of Switched Reluctance Motor Performance

Switched reluctance performance is completely dependence on inductance profile and torque characteristic of machine. These two parameters are varied by changing the stator and rotor lamination sheets design. In this paper we discussed about the effect of air gap dimensions which is created by forming the teethed stator pole of SR motor on inductance and torque of SR motor.Effect of teething in stator pole is discussed in our previous work. COMSOL Multi-physics software with CAD design is used for design and FEA method is used for simulation.
