The mutual coupling between orthogonal crossed circular loops is zero when the location of one of the antenna feed gaps in one loop overlaps with the circumference of the second loop. By locating the feed gaps along the orthogonal loops in such a way that their mutual coupling is not zero, the self and mutual impedances are computed through the method of moments. This paper has investigated the behavior of self/mutual impedances between orthogonal crossed circular loops against varying wavelength-normalized loop’s circumference and wire’s thickness measure, while the feed gaps’ length and their locations are fixed. This paper has also carefully looked into the behavior of the input impedance as it specifies the resonant behavior of the crossed loop antenna and it is also the sum of self and mutual impedances.
