Multiplication operation is the second most used arithmetic operation after addition. There are many researches carried out to develop and increase the performance of Multipliers. In this paper different types of multipliers like Array Multiplier, Carry Save Array Multiplier, Wallace Tree Multiplier, Dadda Multiplier, Booth’s Multiplier, Booth Encoded Wallace Tree and Vedic Multiplier are surveyed and analyzed. Their speed, area, power consumption and circuit complexity is analyzed.
