As cyber threats grow more intricate and frequent, traditional security tools fall short, pushing the demand for groundbreaking solutions. New technological advancements bolster cybersecurity by offering swift threat recognition, forward-looking risk assessment, and fast-acting countermeasures. This paper delves into how these innovations overhaul protective strategies, weighing their advantages against their drawbacks and considering their future role. By reviewing existing studies and practical examples in a qualitative approach, we find that these tools markedly enhance defenses yet open doors to new dangers, such as exploitation by attackers. There can be no doubt— it is no wonder that these technologies are a matter of life and death in today's security context; but at the same time, they need mounds of continual improvement in order to deal with all aspects of changing risk.
