Community Participation is a collaboration process among stakeholders with community within a city. In the context of tourism, especially in a city, community participation is needed in the development process. This study is made to explain the chronology of the definition of community participation from year to year, where every year range have different characteristicscan make contributions both for academicians and professionals to understand more about the chronology of the definition of community participation, and how the study can give more information about the role of community in society in different time lapse.
