M. Alexander and Dr.R. Santhi
Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is widely adopted in almost all research fields due to minimizing energy consumption and compact size. In WSN major challenges are optimal coverage, the lifetime of nodes and throughput. Therefore in this paper proposed a hybrid ant colony flower pollination (HAC - FP) algorithm for throughput maximization in a sensor network. In recent years, meta-heuristic approaches play a vital role due to several technical constraints hence in this paper ant colony and flower pollination algorithm are utilized. The proposed HAC-FP utilizes neighborhood distance for optimal placement of sensor node for effective location. The performance of HAC - FP utilizes Matlab Simulator and results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm increases throughput.
