Design of Hardware Trojan Detection Architecture in Digital Circuits

R. Haritha and S. Padmapriya
Abstract

The products that utilizes integrated circuits have higher level of threats posed by Hardware Trojans. Any addition or modification to a circuit or system with malicious intention is referred to as hardware trojans. These HTs change or control the functionality of the system or leaks the sensitive information in cryptography. This paper deals with the detection of hardware trojans (HT) in digital circuits based on timing analysis. The circuit to be tested can be either a combinational or a sequential circuit. The number of detection circuits in the testing path are increased to increase the detectable HT size and detection probability. Moreover, this circuit is implemented in Spartan-6 FPGA kit.
