A Multi Objective Hybrid Meta Heuristic Algorithm for Energy Efficient Clustering In Multi Hop Wireless Sensor Networ

The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have a set of nodes to collect information from within the environment and forward it to a Base Station (BS) which processes the data finally. The Challenges in the WSN are the minimization of the consumption of power and the maximization of the lifetime of the network. The networks are divided into inter-related clusters in such a way that each of them has many cluster nodes with a Cluster Head (CH) that may be helpful in making the energy efficient. The information gathered from the Sensor is further transmitted to the centres of data processing through the CH in clustered environments. The process of clustering is a NP hard problem. The Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO) methods have been based on the method of weighted sum, the meta heuristic search methods and the utility method. Here the proposed multi-hop Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol, the hybrid Group Search Optimization (GSO) along with Gradient Descent (GD) (GSO-GD) are considered. The multi-hop LEACH, which is an algorithm permitting a multi-hop communication aims at saving energy. By using a multi-hop LEACH, any sensor has options to transmit data to nodes that are closer and always send the data collected to the BS. Also in order to avoid the premature, the GSO-GD adopts greedy search strategy that is based on the GD for optimizing the local optimal value. The results of the experiment show that this network’s lifetime is extended in comparison to the other approaches.
