Temperature Characterization of Dielectric Permittivity and AC conductivity of CuO/ZnO Nanocomposite Junction

Abstract:

The CuO/ZnO nanocomposite was prepared by mechanical milling of CuO and ZnO analytical grade powder. It is then heated at 3000c. The synthesized nanocomposite was characterized by XRD and UV–visible spectroscopy. The characteristic peaks in XRD and UV–visible spectra confirmed the presence of CuO and ZnO in the nanocomposite structure. AC conductivity and dielectric response of the composites were investigated in the frequency range of 106Hz to 1006Hz using broadband dielectric spectroscopy. Dielectric permittivity ϵ’ and dielectric loss tangent δ were investigated. It was observed that ϵ’ and δ decrease with increase in frequency at all temperatures. At a particular frequency it is observed that both ϵ’and δ increase with increase in temperature. It was also observed that AC conductivity increased with increase in frequency and temperature.
